Trivial Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Diab Eid, an individual sole proprietor operating
the Trivial mobile application (the “App,” and together with related
services, the “Services”) — referred to here as “we,”
“us,” or “our” — collects, uses, and shares information
when you use the App. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.

1. Summary
- You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We receive a unique Apple
account identifier and the name and email you authorize (you may use Apple’s
“Hide My Email” private relay).
- We store your account, a username, and your gameplay data (scores, times, streaks,
XP, badges/trophies, rank, and any teams you join) to run the game and leaderboards.
- Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. We use
RevenueCat to manage subscription status. We never receive your
payment card details.
- We do not collect precise location, we do not use
advertising trackers, and we do not sell your personal information.
- You can permanently delete your account and data in the App
(Account › Delete account).
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide or authorize
- Account & identity (via Sign in with Apple). A unique Apple
user identifier, and the name and email address you choose to share. If you use
Apple’s private email relay, we only receive the relay address.
- Profile. A username (we generate a default one for you; you may
change it), an avatar selection, and optional display “emblems” you equip.
- Support communications. Information you include when you contact
us or submit our support form.
Information created as you use the App
- Gameplay data. Puzzle scores, completion times, answers, streaks,
lifetime XP, rank, and unlocked badges/trophies.
- Teams. Teams you create or join and your membership in them.
- Subscription status. Whether you hold an active “Trivial
Pro” entitlement, plus the related transaction identifiers needed to validate it.
- Push token (optional). If you enable notifications, a device push
token used to deliver reminders.
- Diagnostics. Basic, non-advertising crash and error logs used to
keep the App working.
We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, contacts, photos,
health data, or biometric data.
3. How We Use Information
- To create and operate your account and authenticate you.
- To run gameplay, leaderboards, profiles, teams, and achievements.
- To provide and validate the “Trivial Pro” subscription.
- To send notifications you have enabled.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse and fraud, and debug problems.
- To respond to your requests and comply with legal obligations.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context
behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us
run the App, and only as needed:

We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect rights
and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., a sale of the App), in
which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your
account, we delete your personal data from our active systems; residual copies in
routine backups are purged within 30 days. We may retain limited records where
required by law (for example, tax records related to purchases handled by Apple).
6. Your Choices & Rights
- Delete your account. In the App, go to Account › Delete
account to permanently erase your account and associated data.
- Access / correction. You may request a copy of your data or ask us
to correct it by emailing us.
- Notifications. You can turn notifications off in your device
settings at any time.
- Region-specific rights (EEA/UK/Canada, California, and others).
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port,
or restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. California residents
have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and not be
discriminated against for exercising rights; we do not sell or share personal
information as those terms are defined under California law.

We will respond as required by applicable law.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal
information, contact us and we will delete it. Where stricter local law applies
(e.g., a higher minimum age in the EEA/UK), that minimum age governs.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including authentication and
database access controls) to protect your information. No method of transmission or
storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Users
We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the
United States and other countries. By using the App you understand your information
may be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection laws than your
country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated”
date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the App. Continued
use after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
